Pause

My father died last week.

I have been and will continue to write a cycle of poems about my family.

However, please allow me a bit of time to pause and reflect.

Thanks so much for your support and understanding.

Road Not Taken

Sadly, UR taut noose unravels

Death nigh & memories naught

Girded in uncertainty

U shunned exotic paths,

the only journey to happiness

White Light

Do the dying tally hours

or cast moments into days?

Dwell in vicissitudes

or inconsequential dreams?

Can luminosity pierce grave’s finale?

Euthanasia #2

For  Min —

You didn’t go gently

I sanctified love 4 suffering

and peace 4 pain.

But U were not ready

2 give away UR last most vital life.

& I am not God

Grim Reaper

Death’s too familiar

He follows like stray cats

leaves nose smudges on windows

traces cracks on walls

howls @ my jokes

while I forget 2 cry

Clairvoyance

End the premonitions

disaster intuitions

doom forebodings

God’s cruel omens

Death’s docket

Grant ignorance of the future

& repress the past
